(Warner) My Chemical Romance make history as The Black Parade (20th Anniversary) debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, delivering the band their first-ever chart-topping album in the U.S. Originally released in 2006, The Black Parade debuted at No. 2; two decades later, its 20th anniversary edition reaches the summit while becoming the first anniversary release by any artist to debut at No. 1 on the chart. The milestone is matched across the Atlantic, where the album also earns My Chemical Romance their first-ever No. 1 in the U.K.

The Black Parade (20th Anniversary) celebrates a landmark work that's been RIAA-certified 4x Platinum, ranked among Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time," and inspired fans and artists across generations. Available in an array of vinyl colorways and other formats, the release includes reimagined artwork and six bonus tracks: three fan-favorite B-sides once scattered across releases; and three live selections captured during the original album tour at the band's hometown club - Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ. Stream here via Reprise Records.

The deluxe reissue, however, was only one in a series of events bringing The Black Parade's immersive world to life. Last night, on Halloween, My Chemical Romance played the last show of their historic, sold-out, five-night residency at the Hollywood Bowl - something no other artist has accomplished. In their review of the first night, Rolling Stone wrote, "On this night, their fantastic rock spectacle went even further with new narrative twists and other fun surprises."

One such surprise was a pre-show screening of Prelude To The End, a collaboration between My Chemical Romance and acclaimed visual artist Lauren Tsai, who grew up a fan of the band. The short film is built around The Black Parade opener "The End" and merges the lores and aesthetics of both the album and Tsai's The Dying World project. Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, Hideo Kojima, and John C. McGinley lend their voices to the project.

My Chemical Romance shares - "Twenty years ago, we wrote what would become The Black Parade, our third record and the follow up to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. At the time, we could never have imagined what the record would mean for the band. All we knew is that we had made something crazy, and something we couldn't wait to get out into the world... Today, twenty years on, we celebrate its release... Thank you for marching with us. To the death!"
