The Sex Pistols feat. Frank Carter Kick Off North American Tour
(Scoop) The Sex Pistols (Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock) featuring Frank Carter officially launched their 50th Anniversary "Anarchy In The UK" North American tour Friday night (Sept. 11) at Dallas' historic Longhorn Ballroom. The electrifying opening-night performance marked the band's legendary return to the site of their infamous, confrontational 1978 concert.
Commemorating the historic milestone, the group posed under the venue's legendary marquee and recreated iconic photos from their landmark 1978 Dallas stop.
Inside the hall, with guitarist Steve Jones fully recovered from the broken wrist that paused last year's touring plans, the band tore through the landmark 1977 album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols in its entirety alongside choice deep cuts.
The cross-continent North American trek now continues across the United States and Canada through mid-October, featuring support from Panic Shack, Bad Nerves, Starcrawler, and Militarie Gun on select dates. The tour follows an explosive summer run across Europe, which saw the band deliver blistering festival appearances and sold-out headline dates across the UK, Spain, and Germany.
