(fcc) BTS kicked off their Brazilian run of 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' with an electrifying opening show at Estadio do MorumBIS in Sao Paulo, marking another milestone in the group's sold-out Latin American tour leg.

BTS arrived in Brazil following sold-out stadium shows across Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina and amid overwhelming local demand. More than 1.9 million people accessed the ticketing system for the group's three Sao Paulo performances, representing estimated demand for more than 3.7 million tickets.

The opening night brought 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' to Sao Paulo with the tour's immersive 360-degree stage, placing fans around the performance and at the heart of the show.

The Korean cultural heritage woven throughout the tour's performances has drawn widespread praise from critics across Latin America, and Sao Paulo was no exception. At the center of the stadium stood a 360-degree pavilion inspired by the traditional jeongja and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion at Gyeongbokgung Palace, reinterpreting the traditional architecture into a modern communal space. The stage floor featured visual elements inspired by the Taegeukgi (South Korean flag), with the central symbol anchoring the stage, while extended runways radiated outward in a composition inspired by the Geongongamri (four trigrams), integrating Korean symbolism into the structure of the stadium production itself.

Across the Latin American leg, the scale of the stadium production was matched by moments shaped specifically by each city and its fans. From V's exclamation, "¡Bogota, que chimba!" ("Bogota is insane!"), in Colombia and "¡Perú es clave!" ("Peru is everything!") in Lima, to BTS' donning of traditional Peruvian ponchos and chullos on stage, local references became some of the tour's most widely shared moments. In Buenos Aires, the members wore Lionel Messi's No. 10 Argentina national team jersey before joining the crowd in a massive sing-along to the iconic football anthem "Muchachos." These moments spread rapidly across social media as some of the tour's defining local highlights, reflecting the connection BTS built with audiences at each stop.

That connection continued in Sao Paulo show. At the first show, Jimin expressed his excitement about returning to Sao Paulo after seven years, saying "A gente levou 7 anos pra voltar pra Sao Paulo de novo. Entao, vamos fazer um show incrível!" (It took us 7 years to return to Sao Paulo, so let's put on an incredible show!). V also drew enthusiastic cheers from the crowd by conveying his gratitude using a colloquial Brazilian Portuguese expression: "¡ARMY ARRASA! Papo reto, vocês sao os melhores!" (ARMY rocks! Real talk, you guys are the best!). Speaking directly to fans in Portuguese added a distinctly local and personal note to the opening night.

Beyond the stadium, BTS' arrival was felt across the cities hosting the tour, with the Latin American leg generating significant attention across tourism, local government and culture.

In Bogota, BTS performed two sold-out shows at El Campín on October 2 and 3. Each performance drew more than 50,000 fans, setting a new record for the largest single-concert audience in the stadium's history. The concerts were also projected to generate more than COP 99 billion in spending across the city, according to the Observatorio de Turismo de Bogota.

In Lima, Peru, the district of Santiago de Surco temporarily renamed Calle Sacramento "Avenida BTS" (BTS Avenue) from October 5 through 11, 2026, in celebration of BTS' first-ever visit to the country. In Buenos Aires, Argentina, where BTS were named "Huespedes de Honor" (Guests of Honor) by the City Council ahead of their performances, Booking.com recorded an approximately 60,000% year-over-year increase in accommodation searches during the concert period.

From record-breaking ticket demand and official civic recognition to citywide celebrations and surging tourism interest, 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' continues to demonstrate an unprecedented scale of cultural and economic impact across Latin America.

With two additional performances scheduled for October 30 and 31 at Estadio do MorumBIS, BTS continue their Brazilian run, bringing the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN LATIN AMERICA' to a spectacular close.
