(Warner) Atlanta quintet Penelope Road announce their 2027 North American and European tour, bringing their warm, harmony-rich blend of classic pop, rock, and soul to stages across the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Europe.
The run kicks off February 3 in Greenville, SC, and wraps May 13 in Munich, Germany, following a landmark year for the rising band which included their Grand Ole Opry debut, performances at major festivals including Lollapalooza and BottleRock, and the release of their highly anticipated debut album, Maybe In Time.
Presale begins Wednesday, October 28 at 10 AM ET, with access available using the code ROADHEADS. Local presale begins Thursday, October 29 at 10 AM ET, followed by the general on-sale Friday, October 30 at 10 AM ET.
Last week, Penelope Road released their debut album Maybe In Time, an easygoing, warmly welcoming, and sublimely thoughtful set that feels like an invitation to pack a duffle and hit the open road. Seamlessly carrying the band's classic pop, rock, and soul influences into a modern sound, the 13-song LP shows just how far this group of friends have come.
Maybe In Time is the most fully realized Penelope Road work yet, finding all five members, Max Moore (lead vocals/guitar), Charles Eastman (lead vocals/keys), Koan Roy-Meighoo (vocals/guitar), James Kopp (bass), and Anthony Smith (drums) writing and recording during rare but cherished breaks from their intensive tour schedule over the past year. Lovingly crafted during mind-melding writing retreats and studio sessions around the country, the album captures a feeling of forward movement while demonstrating the group's incredible battle-forged chemistry and delving into themes of change, time, and yearning.
Fans were previously treated to the titular single "Maybe In Time," a wistful track about savoring small moments, as well as "New Money," a joyous, tongue-in-cheek ode to having just enough cash on hand to take someone on a Waffle House date in a thrifted tux. And the boys opened up their current era with "Smile Again," a bright summer single about the grounding sensation of seeing your loved one's smile after time away. The album is rounded out by diverse tunes that run from the guitar-driven, high-energy "comedown" to the disco-kissed "Just Another Night" and to the confessional ballad "One For the Road."A handful of songs are already live fan favorites that have helped power the band through an impressively packed year-and-change of tour dates and festival stops.
