(align PR) Netflix announced K-POPS!, the feature directorial debut from 9x GRAMMY Award-winning artist Anderson .Paak, will begin streaming globally on May 30, 2026.

The film, directed, written, and starring .Paak alongside his real-life son Soul Rasheed, is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, earning critical praise and coverage from major outlets including Forbes, Variety, and Billboard. The milestone caps a standout year for the multi-hyphenate, following his inclusion on the 2026 TIME100 list of most influential people.

During the pandemic, .Paak was looking for ways to connect with his son through his two biggest obsessions: YouTube and K-pop. He started pulling from his own experiences as an artist, and a film was born. What began as a shared creative exercise between father and son became a love letter to music, family, and the cultural bridges that connect them.

The film follows a struggling musician who travels to Seoul to work on a K-pop competition show, only to discover that one of the contestants is his long-lost son, forcing him to navigate fatherhood, ambition, and second chances on a global stage.

K-POPS! features Jonnie "Dumbfoundead" Park, Jee Young Han, and Yvette Nicole Brown, with standout cameos from Diplo, Jaden Smith, Saweetie, Vernon of SEVENTEEN, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Original music is by .Paak and producer Dem Jointz.

K-POPS! premiered as a Special Presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024 and made its U.S. premiere at the Tribeca Festival in 2025, ahead of its theatrical release in February 2026. Stream K-POPS! on Netflix May 30, 2026.
