Hear Randy Travis' New Song 'Mission of Love'
(117) Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy Travis shares "Mission of Love," the sixth and final preview of Same Old Way, his new album out November 13 on Warner Records Nashville.
Like every track on the album, the song comes from Travis recordings that sat in a vault for up to 40 years, restored and renewed by the singer's longtime producer, Kyle Lehning, in lockstep with Randy's wishes.
In this new track, Travis sings about a parent who sets aside anger and resentment to give a child the comfort and love she needs. It highlights sacrifice and compassion. His deep, rich, and soulful voice conveys strong emotion, giving the song the heartfelt, authentic country sound that has become his signature and helped establish him as a country music icon.
Our little girl is calling your name / I've held her, but she only wants you / And although I hate what you've become / Little tears brought me here on a mission of love
Randy has already released five singles from Same Old Way, "Fish On," "I Don't Care," "Set The Blues Back," "I Know Where I'd Be Without You," and the title track, which have drawn praise from outlets like Forbes, The Tennessean, Parade, Billboard, Whiskey Riff, Country Central, Holler, All Country News, and many more.
