(Scoop) Under The Big Sky returns to Montana's stunning Big Mountain Ranch in July 2027 with Zach Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, and Nathaniel Rateliff. Now in its eighth year, Under the Big Sky continues its tradition of celebrating the spirit of the modern West and Americana music in one of the nation's most breathtaking settings.

Nestled on the panoramic 350-plus-acre Big Mountain Ranch in Whitefish, Montana, the festival brings together fans for three unforgettable days of live music, mountain views, and Western culture. Featuring 40 artists spanning outlaw country, indie rock, bluegrass, and folk, Under the Big Sky offers an authentic festival experience complete with a full rough stock rodeo, making it a one-of-a-kind celebration of music, community, and the Western way of life.

Under The Big Sky is open to fans of all ages, with 3-Day GA or VIP passes (21+) available. Fans can RSVP to add a complimentary GA kids ticket for children 36" and under during checkout. As in previous years, attendees can also secure their GA passes with a 25% down payment via the festival payment plan.

Returning to Under The Big Sky for the third time, fan favorite Zach Bryan continues to prove that success has never pulled him away from his roots. The acclaimed singer-songwriter has built a devoted following through his unwavering authenticity, crafting songs that blend timeless storytelling with raw emotional depth. Driven by a commitment to staying true to himself, Bryan delivers heartfelt narratives and rugged honesty that resonate deeply with audiences.

Making her Under the Big Sky debut, eight-time GRAMMY Award winner Kacey Musgraves brings her unmistakable blend of laid-back charm, bold style, and deep Texas roots to the festival stage. Her latest music reflects a love of classic Texas dancehall sounds, witty observations about everyday life, and a genre-defying approach that seamlessly weaves traditional country with influences from Norte-o, Zydeco, and beyond. With her signature songwriting and unmistakable voice, Musgraves continues to push the boundaries of country music while staying true to the spirit that has made her one of the genre's most celebrated artists.

Returning to Under the Big Sky for the first time since headlining the festival's inaugural year, Nathaniel Rateliff brings the soulful energy, powerhouse vocals, and magnetic stage presence that have earned him a place among Americana's most celebrated and respected artists. Rateliff effortlessly blends rock, folk, rhythm and blues, and roots music into songs that resonate with authenticity and heart.

2027's lineup features the UTBS debuts of Brandon Flowers of The Killers, performing songs from his first country record, Thrasher - a Nashville‑recorded, Americana‑infused album blending storytelling, honky‑tonk energy, and classic country instrumentation; along with The Wallflowers, Dawes, The Devil Makes Three, and many more. Additionally, fans can expect thunderous sets from festival alumni Midland, Paul Cauthen, The Dead South, and Montana's own Sam Barber, and Buffalo Traffic Jam.

As always, Under The Big Sky remains committed to supporting Montana's emerging talent, welcoming local artists to its stage next summer, such as Bozeman's Buffalo Traffic Jam and Sam Barber, as well as Badger Hound, Cascadel, Cash Muretta, Chloe Gendrow, Denim Gold, Joe Martinez, Nicole Croteau, Radio Ranch, Sterling Drake, Tim Helnore Band, and Tomara.

Under the Big Sky has long celebrated established artists, as well as emerging and local talent, and the 2027 lineup continues that tradition. Fest-goers can look forward to a weekend of music, rodeo, and roundup at Big Mountain Ranch, a working cattle ranch. Fans will enjoy the great music while watching rodeo competitions, enjoying horseback rides, getting inked at the tattoo barn, and meeting the animals at the petting zoo. A vendor village offering locally-favored food, drinks, and merchandise will provide additional authentic flair.

Just minutes away from the rugged beauty of Glacier National Park, Under The Big Sky immerses attendees in the majesty of the American West and cowboy traditions. The nearest airport, Kalispell, MT (FCA), is less than 10 miles from the festival site and has direct flights from dozens of North American cities, including Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and many more.
