(BNPR) Country pop singer-songwriter Mattie Taylor brings the lyrics of her latest single, "Pushing 20," to life with the release of its official music video.
The visual captures the humor and uncertainty of growing up, pairing Taylor's relatable lyrics with the everyday realities of navigating the transition from teenager to adulthood.
"The lyrics of 'Pushing 20' are so visual because they're about real things you experience while growing up, from broken guitar strings and mood swings to suddenly having to think about bills, taxes, and insurance. It was really fun getting to bring those moments to life in the video and show the humor in trying to figure it all out while realizing that maybe nobody really has it all figured out," shared Mattie Taylor.

Now 21, Mattie Taylor looks back on writing "Pushing 20" at 19 with a perspective that makes the song even more meaningful. "My friend and I wrote this song when we were both 19, putting our real feelings into words and laughing about how chaotic growing up can be. Two years later, I still relate to it so much. You don't suddenly wake up one day and feel like an adult. You're still figuring out who you are while life keeps moving forward, and sometimes all you can do is pull it together and enjoy the ride."
